Museums in Short is an audiovisual platform and an international award dedicated to short videos realized by museums. It is promoted by musil – museum of industry and labour of Brescia, in collaboration with EMA - European Museum Academy, FSK - Forum Slavic Cultures and LABA.
This year, 32 museums’ videos have been gathered in a freely accessible online platform: www.museumsinshort.eu.
The international jury awarded the video Vladimir Makuc, Man Who Loved Birds by the Galerija Božidar Jakac – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Kostanjevica na Krki, Slovenia).
The award-winning video will also have the honor to be part of The Best in Heritage, the conference that every September in Dubrovnik brings together the winners of awards for museums and cultural sites from around the world.

Sharing cultural heritage through digital channels and taking the most out of new technologies, such as 360 tours or AR and VR, has become very important.
Since 2012, Museums in Short makes accessible short videos realized by / for / with museums. Every year, a free platform is provided, where creatives, experts and enthusiasts can watch short videos from all over the world of museums.
There is no entry fee.
Best videos are rewarded with a symbolic prize. The winner will also be invited to present his achievement at the annual Best in Heritage IMAGINES event – the global conference featuring award-winning museum, heritage, and conservation projects.

In the online & in person Ceremony of the VIII edition, held Monday, December 13th, the international jury awarded the video Dzennet by the Emigration Museum of Gdynia (Poland).

The winners of Museums in Short 2021 will be announced on December 13th at 16.30 (CET) during an hybrid (i.e. in person & online) Ceremony.
The auditorium of LABA - Academy of Arts of Brescia will open its doors to local public. Representatives of museums will participate online (a dedicated link will be shared).

You can watch & choose your favorite short until December, 10th.
Public Vote Nomination will be accorded to the most voted video.
